Pork Kimchi Rice Bowl

Ingredients (2-3 servings)
1.   Alphajiri's Miso Mild Hot Kimchi 300-400g
2.  Sliced pork 100-200g
3.  Cooking oil 1-2 tbsp
4.  Steamed rice 150-200g per serving (White Koshihikari rice or brown Koshihikari rice recommended)

Ratio of kimchi and pork depends on your preference. If you want to eat more kimchi, use more kimchi. If you like pork, use more pork! 


  1. Heat a pan and add cooking oil.
  2. Cook pork well.
  3. Add kimchi and stir them well. We really recommend that you use Miso Mild Hot Kimchi for this recipe! Miso and pork perfectly match, and the same deliciousness cannot be produced with other types of kimchi, though all of them works well.
  4.  Serve with steamed rice. Japanese traditionally cook Japanese rice without salt or oil.

How to cook white Japanese rice (Koshihikari rice) 

Wash rice grains well and soak them into water for 20-30 minutes. After draining water, add 1.2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. If you use a pot to cook rice, always put the lid. Simmer with a low heat until the rice absorbs all the water. Turn off the heat and keep the lid closed for 5 to 10 minutes to steam the rice. 

How to cook brown Japanese rice (brown Koshihikari rice) 

 Basically the same procedure as white Koshihikari rice, but only difference is rice and water ratio is 1 to 2.
